Our story doesn't begin with a business plan. It begins in a quiet room in Santa Barbara, California in the 1960s, with a young boy's fascination for the treasures of the earth. That boy is our founder, and he would spend hours mesmerized by his rock collection and the rainbows cast by light shining through prisms. He saw a universe of color and form in a simple stone, a galaxy of light in a crystal. That childhood passion for the earth's hidden beauty never faded.
In 1978, while still in college, he formally entered the jewelry world — manufacturing and selling gift items made with the world-renowned sparkle of Austrian Swarovski crystals. He operated under a different business name at that time, but the mission was already taking shape: to bring extraordinary beauty to everyday people.
Over the following decades, that mission deepened. The love of natural materials — gemstones, freshwater pearls, sterling silver, and the warm glow of gold — grew into a lifelong pursuit of the finest jewelry from around the world.
Celestial Company Presents Simple Natural Design
In 2009, Celestial Company was formally founded. The name was chosen with purpose. "Celestial" means "of the heavens" — out of this world. And that is precisely our mission.
